Nazki's Final Journey: From Illness to Rest
According to close family sources, Nazki had been ill for several years and had gone to Jammu with his kid. On Monday night, he had a heart attack. His lifeless remains are being transported from Jammu to Srinagar, and his burial ceremonies will take place on Wednesday at the Malakha graveyard.
Nazki held various significant roles at All India Radio Kashmir and Doordarshan, and in 1995, he received the Kashmiri Sahitya Akademi Award for his poetry collection "Naar Hyutun Kanzal Vanas" (Fire in the Eyelashes).
"He also served as a media advisor for two chief ministers, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.
Many people from different backgrounds have shared their sorrow over the passing of the experienced journalist."
Gulam Nabi Azad wrote: "I am terribly heartbroken to learn of Farooq Nazki Sahab's death. His literary talent and media presence were unrivaled. "His work in broadcasting and literature will leave a lasting impact on our cultural and literary heritage. May he rest in peace, and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family."
