Kenya to Become Visa-Free for Foreign Visitors in January 2024

Beginning in January 2024, foreign visitors to Kenya will not require a visa. President William Ruto made the statement during the Republic Day, often known as Independence Day, ceremonies in Nairobi.

According to the news agency Xinhua, Ruto said on Tuesday that all foreign residents will be free to visit the country without a visa starting in January next year.

 This action is intended to increase tourism. He stated, "From January 2024, Kenya will be visa-free. 

Anyone from anywhere in the globe will no longer be required to obtain a visa to visit Kenya. Kenyan officials indicated that in order to implement the visa-free policy, the government has implemented a digital platform that requires all tourists to be identified ahead of time using an electronic platform.
