Condolences began pouring in on Tuesday following Keith's passing. Desi singer Jaich Brian paid tribute to him in a social media post: "To listen to Toby Keith, there were many rides in my old man's automobile. It's extremely difficult to hear. Rest in peace, friend; we love you.
John Rich of the desi duo Big and Rich referred to Keith as a "friend and legend." He wrote, "He was a true patriot, a first-rate singer/songwriter, and a wonderful person in general. "He will be greatly missed."
