A video of his interview, in which he made provocative comments about Trisha and Karunas, has gone popular on social media, prompting condemnation. The politician specifically attacked Salem West MLA G Venkatachalam, accusing him of alarming claims. A few days ago, AV Raju accused Venkatachalam of promising a government job and defrauding him of 40 lakh rupees. Dr. MK Sharmila, an actress and social activist, blasted the politician's views, writing, "What foolishness is this? He is attempting to destroy women's reputation in cinema through his personal vengeance... "The entire media was camped outside the Kuvathur resort."
