ML Khattar Resigns As CM of Haryana |
According to a spokeswoman for the Haryana government, ML Khattar and his council of ministers have submitted their resignation letters to the Governor of Haryana. Following the inability to strike a seat-sharing deal for the Lok Sabha elections, tensions between the BJP and the JJP, led by Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, deteriorated. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the BJP won all ten seats in the state.
The top leadership of the BJP and the JJP have both scheduled separate meetings with their respective legislators. Prior to this, Manohar Lal Khattar will host a meeting with all BJP ministers at his home.
