Poonam Pandey, who said she died from cervical cancer, posted a video on Instagram on Saturday saying, "I am alive." The actress, known for her outspoken views, rose to prominence in 2011 when her publicist said on Friday that she died of cervical cancer at the age of 32, after winning the Cricket World Cup.


Poonam Pandey's publicist did not offer details about her demise, and then a statement stated that all members of Poonam Pandey's family were 'untraceable in action.' Poonam Pandey wrote on Instagram the day after the definite announcement of her death, "I am forced to communicate some essential information with all of you - I am alive. Cervical cancer did not kill me." This post disappointed her fans.


In an Instagram post about cervical cancer, Poonam Pandey said, "It has taken the lives of thousands of women due to a lack of awareness about dealing with this disease." In contrast to other diseases, cervical cancer is completely avoidable. The key lies in HPV vaccinations and easily available early detection testing. We have the means to assure that no one dies from this disese. Let us empower one another by raising critical awareness and ensuring that every woman is aware of the necessary procedures. Poonam Pandey titled the video, "Let us work together to end the destructive impact of this disease and bring it to the end.
