After quitting as Bihar's Chief Minister on Sunday, Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar departed the Governor's residence accompanied by legislators.
In the midst of swiftly emerging political events at the start of the day, Nitish submitted his resignation to Governor Rajendra Arlekar, along with letters of support from BJP legislators. Accepting his resignation, the Governor asked Nitish Kumar to serve as interim Chief Minister till a new administration was formed.
It is expected that Nitish would be sworn in as Chief Minister for the eighth time on Sunday, along with two BJP Deputy Chief Ministers. He will take oath at 5 P.M . Both the BJP and JD(U) are enthusiastic.
